This TV spot was developed as part of AT&T’s “Dare To” campaign for the National Student Advertising Competition, which earned 2nd place nationally. The campaign is grounded in the insight that while Gen Z values independence, they are often navigating major life changes for the first time and need reassurance that support is always within reach.
The spot dramatizes this insight through a relatable problem-solving moment: a Gen Z individual stranded with a dead car battery. Rather than portraying AT&T as a background utility, the brand is positioned as an active enabler, making the call that turns uncertainty into action and stress into confidence.
The work reframes connectivity as emotional and practical infrastructure. AT&T becomes the constant through moments of change, empowering young adults to face challenges, take risks, and grow without fear of being alone. By anchoring the story in everyday Gen Z experiences, the spot reinforces AT&T’s role not just as a network provider, but as a trusted partner in life’s transitions.
Dare to Do it Yourself. With AT&T, connecting changes everything.
